June, 2007 - PresentEngineer: Crate&Barrel - Point of Sale
Technologies: C#, .NET 2.0, Windows Forms, Web Services / SOAP, GDI+, Team Foundation Server, Visual SourceSafe
- Responsible for major functionality in a national rollout to all Crate&Barrel stores. Product enhancements include development of 8.5” x 11” receipts, a variety of transactional notes and changes to order maintenance functionality.
- Introduced a robust solution to allow furniture stores to print receipts onto 8.5” x 11” paper in addition to their existing Epson thermal printers.
- Resolved hundreds of bugs to Quality Assurance and performed routine system maintenance.
- Worked effectively with AS400 team to implement new functionality.
April, 2007 - June, 2007Engineer: Echo Global Logistics - EDI Integration | Performance Tuning

- Responsible for an integration between shippers and suppliers that would update Echo’s existing web application with shipping status updates.
- Took action to improve performance across Echo’s infrastructure including SQL Server and ASP .NET profiling.

- Primary Responsibility: Maintained corporate website, www.pfgbest.com, and developed satellite websites such as pfgkelly.com, and peregrinecharities.org.
- Customer Service Knowledge Base Application: Developed a MSDN-style knowledge base application for a team of 20-30 customer service representatives. The 3-tier application framework was inspired by Rockford Lhotka’s CSLA Business Objects.
- Independent Research and Development:
- optoutsite.com: By recognizing a business need for centralized opt-out management of email blasting, I designed this program to handle PFG’s needs while opening the possibility for other companies to use this tool, possibly as a paid service.
- Customer Service Account Management Tools: Provided customer service with the ability to centrally track account setups, while providing managers with valuable reports.
- Landing Page Administration for Marketing Campaigns: This centralized internal program facilitated the creation of custom landing pages for email blasts, without the need for building it manually.

- Maintained a 24 x 7 x 365 trading desk of 50-75 workstations, quad-display setups, trade ticket printers, and assorted telephony.
